As with any suspension component, your control arm mounts can deteriorate over time or become damaged. Worn mounts cause vague, imprecise steering response, harsh ride, and noise, including squeaks and clunking. Replacing worn bushings and mounts is usually the first recommended step in refreshing a vehicles handling or ride characteristics. The control arm mounts secure control arms to the chassis.
