No one wants to immediately remove their transmission again after replacing their clutch set. Don’t take the chance of doing a job twice because you wanted to reuse old parts. This retaining ring makes sure that everything you are installing with your clutch set stays where it should. Use it in tandem with the new clutch disc thrust plate (ES#10441) to be sure everything transferring the power from your engine to transmission is brand new.
