This temperature switch is mounted in the radiator end cap. It controls the operation of the electric fan. If your electric fan is always on, or does not come on at all, a faulty temperature switch is a common cause.

This lower-temperature switch can be used as an upgrade to turn your auxiliary fan on sooner. This can help maintain proper engine temperatures under more extreme conditions.
