MAP Sensor

The manifold absolute pressure sensor on your engine is crucial to the proper operation of the engine management system, especially the fuel injection system.

This sensor sends a signal to the ECU of the current air pressure inside of the intake manifold. This includes atmospheric pressure as well as any additional air pressure created by forced induction.

The ECU uses this information to determine the correct amount of fuel to inject into the engine to maintain the proper balance of power and efficiency.
