Thermostat – 90C

The thermostat is an important part of your engines cooling system. This thermostat is used to regulate the flow of coolant through the engine based in coolant temperature.

Over time though, this thermostat will begin to stick, either open or closed, each with its own set symptoms.

If your thermostat is stuck open, the coolant will never get hot enough to provide adequate heat during the winter months. This can be quite an annoyance, especially if you live in a cold climate.

Even worse, if the thermostat is stuck closed, there will not be enough coolant flow, and your engine may overheat, leading to engine damage and costly repairs.
