Description
The air conditioning system in your vehicle contains numerous parts, each of which is crucial to optimum performance. One of those parts is the expansion valve, which is used to control refrigerant flow into the evaporator.
Excessive refrigerant flow into the evaporator can cause evaporator flooding, which can result in diminished air conditioning performance and possible compressor damage, while too little flow can cause evaporator icing.
