Description
The idler pulley assembly allows the accessory belt to track properly from the crankshaft. The belt routes around the idler pulley and moves freely to keep your a/c compressor, alternator and power steering pump operating properly. Common failures of the idler pulley include a bearing noise, a bent pulley, or even they can even become locked up from dirt and debris.
If the idler pulley in your vehicle has failed, be sure to replace it to keep your accessories turning at full potential.
