The engine in your Mercedes-Benz requires a good amount of air to run, and in order to get that air into the engine, there is a series of ducts.
This air intake duct sends air from the outside into the throttle body. While air ducts will usually last quite a long time, over the years the rubber that they are made of will become brittle and crack. Once this happens, it is a good idea to replace them to keep your engine running at its best.
