Description
The factory mounts on cars are designed from soft rubber often times with a fluid filled center to cushion the NVH for the average car owner. While this may be acceptable for a daily driver, these types of mounts really deprive the car of direct power to the rear wheels.
Solid mounts remove driveline slop and unnecessary movement but results in a ton of excess noise and vibration.
The middle ground is going with a polyurethane design, which is an excellent option for the street performance vehicle. This helps deliver the power to the wheels without allowing a large amount of driveline movement but still preventing an excess amount of noise, vibration, and harshness like solid mounts.
