The steering sensor, or clock spring, is mounted behind the steering wheel in your vehicle. The clock spring relays the position of the steering wheel to the ECU and works other components within the steering column assembly, such as the driver's airbag unit, horn, and cruise control. If the horn in your vehicle no longer works and the airbag light is illuminated, this may be your concern.

Professional installation and extreme caution recommended, as removal of the airbag is required to replace the clock spring.
