Description
This clutch slave cylinder setup includes the integrated throwout bearing for your clutch assembly. The clutch slave cylinder uses the hydraulic fluid from the master cylinder to disengage your clutch. Only when your clutch is disengaged is it safe to change your gears. The most common signs of a bad slave cylinder are low fluid levels, loose pedal feel and difficulty changing gears. With a faulty throwout bearing, your clutch disc can have a difficult time engaging and releasing. This can lead to premature failure, noise at idle, and an extremely stiff clutch pedal.
ECS recommends changing your slave cylinder/throwout bearing assembly when servicing your clutch, as they tend to wear together.
