Drive Shaft Center Carrier

The carrier bearing supports the center of the drive shaft between the transmission and the differential. As miles and age increase, bearing failure can occur resulting in a howling noise. The rubber mount may degrade as well, causing excess vibration from the drive shaft.

When disassembling drive shaft make sure to mark each section, as these are balanced as a unit.
