Description
Without a properly functioning cooling system, your engine will overheat which can damage the engine. One of the components in the cooling system that needs to be kept in proper working order is the cooling fan clutch.
The cooling fan clutch is thermally activated, meaning it is open until it reaches a certain temperature and then it lock up, allowing the fan to cool the engine. The fan clutch is supported by the fan clutch bearing bracket, which unfortunately does not last forever. Over time the bearing will wear out, causing unwanted noise and vibrations.
If your fan clutch bearing bracket is displaying any of these symptoms, it should be replaced to keep the cooling system working efficiently.
If you are replacing your fan clutch bearing bracket, now would be the perfect time to inspect any other components in your vehicles' cooling system, and replace any that are starting to show their age. Euromotiv carries a full line of cooling system components and coolant for your Mercedes-Benz to help you keep its' cooling system working as well as it did when it was new.
