Most people overlook or neglect the belly pan as it is a simple part. It is often damaged or not reinstalled when service is being performed, or could have been knocked off while driving. The belly pan has numerous functions such as improved cooling, noise reduction, protecting the engine oil pan from minor impacts, and keeping the engine bay much cleaner and neater. That being said, don't take the chance on costly repairs due to corrosion or damage and pick up a replacement belly pan.
