Description
Designed for high-performance autocross and track use. Ferro-carbon brake friction material resists fade and has a high coefficient of friction. An ideal upgrade for street cars driven in competition requiring repeated, heavy braking.Aggressive friction compound may affect rotor wear, noise, dust, and pad life. Lifetime warranty for defects in material and workmanship.
To ensure maximum performance, please bed new pads correctly. Proper bedding transfers a thin layer of brake material from the new pads to the rotor braking surface. Bedding improves brake performance with less dusting, makes pads last longer, improves pedal feel, and reduces or eliminates brake noise. These pads have extremely high torque with aggressive, controllable initial bite. These brake pads were designed for cars with high deceleration rates with or without down force.
Optimal Temperature Range: 500-1600°F
Euromotiv stocks a large inventory of premium brake parts, including pads and rotors, shoes and drums, hardware, hoses and lines, fluids, and hi-temp lubricants; everything you need to perform a professional brake service.
SPECIAL NOTE: Due to the aggressive nature of the Hawk Performance Motorsports Compound pads, they are not recommended for street use.
Not sure which Hawk performance brake pad is right for your needs? Consult the "Hawk Brake Pad Compounds" graph for an illustration of braking temperatures versus coefficient of friction. A brake pad from the right of the graph such as DTC-50, DTC-60, or DTC-70 will provide aggressive stopping power for the track, but may not be suitable for street driving as they require higher temperatures to function properly. Selecting a pad from the left of the graph such as HPS 5.0, HP+, or the new Street Race will offer a more streetable upgrade with comparatively lower dust and quieter performance, while still improving brake torque and being gentle on rotors.
