Description
Includes strut pivot bearing and attachment hardware.
The strut mount is a metal reinforced rubber bushing that bolts to the shock absorber strut rod, and attaches the strut assembly to the chassis. Struts at steering wheels commonly include a pivot bearing to allow the strut to pivot left and right.
To ensure smooth steering and proper impact damping, replace old mounts and pivot bearings whenever new struts are installed. Old, wear and heat-hardened mount rubber transmits vibration to the chassis, and can break or tear, affecting steering and causing noise over bumps.
