Fuel Pressure Accumulator

The fuel pressure accumulator is used to maintain pressure in the fuel system after the engine has been shut off in order to facilitate faster re-starts. While the engine is running, the pressure accumulator is used to dampen some of the sound made by the electric fuel pump. The fuel accumulator needs to be replaced in the event of any cracks or blockage, which can cause slow starts, leaks, or stalling. It is always a good idea to replace your fuel filter during your accumulator replacement.
