Anti-Freeze / Coolant - 1.5 Liter

It matters which antifreeze/coolant you use. Many parts store brands do not provide adequate cooling system protection for your German car. Using cheap, generic alternatives is a false economy. Please refer to the owner's manual to determine the exact coolant recommendation for your car, and follow it for best results.

G11 is blue in color. It is the original antifreeze/coolant shipped in older VW/Audi models, from 1981-1996. Specially designed to promote heat transfer and prevent cooling system corrosion, G11 protects engine metals, seals, and plastic cooling system components. It is nitrate and phosphate-free, and maintains the proper cooling system pH when used as directed, and replaced at recommended service intervals.

Unlike extended life coolants adopted in recent years, G11 has a shorter service life, and needs to be drained and changed more frequently to maintain proper cooling system chemistry and protection; generally every three years or 36,000 miles.

Note: Unlike some who are selling pre-diluted coolants, this is pure antifreeze that must be mixed 50/50 with water, preferably distilled or de-mineralized, for best results. One 1.5 liter bottle makes 3.0 liters of coolant when mixed with water.
