Description
The hood latch release cable looks like a thick black piece of wire and is usually run underneath or along side the left front fender. It connects the hood latch to the interior hood release lever. There is a smaller cable inside, allowing movement to be transferred from the lever to the latch, that can begin to deteriorate or string apart if too much moisture has entered the cable assembly, or the cable has been put through too much stress. If the cable has broken or stretched out too much, it can leave you without access to your engine bay.
Don't leave yourself locked out of your engine bay, unable to service or work on your vehicle, and replace your hood latch release cable today.
