Subframe bushings are mounts used to attach the subframe to the main chassis of the modern vehicle. The subframe is a critical assembly of your car, to which your suspension and drivetrain is bolted on to. Because of this, the subframe bushings take a large amount of abuse, while insulating the harshness of the road and engine from the chassis. Generally pressed into the subframe, your OEM rubber bushings will wear out over time. If your car is starting to feel sloppy and not handle the way it used to, it could be an issue with your subframe bushings. The average lifespan of a set of subframe bushings is around 100-150k miles, although your milage will vary.
