Description
If you are experiencing a clunking sound when you turn the steering wheel, or an overall loose, unresponsive steering feel in your Mercedes-Benz, the cause may be as simple as a failing idler arm.
The idler arm is the pivot point of the steering system on the vehicles chassis. The idler arm has a bushing pressed into it at the attachment point to the chassis to absorb some of the force exerted by the steering system.
If your idler arm has failed, replace it today with a quality replacement part from Euromotiv. While you are there, now would be a great time to inspect and replace any other steering or suspension components that are starting to show their age. Euromotiv carries a full line of steering and suspension components to help you keep your Mercedes-Benz driving as well as it did when it was new.
