EFFORTLESS ETHANOL
Ethanol is rocket fuel for your B9 A4, A5, or Q5. Our iE TrueFlex Sensor Kit is the required harness upgrade to convert your 2.0T engine to flex-fuel. The sensor hardware allows your factory engine computer to read and instantly send the ethanol content of your fuel to our advanced TrueFlex tune, unleashing huge power.
INSTALLATION
Follow our step-by-step guide to install the sensor kit and required OEM hardware upgrades, and then flash the TrueFlex tune with your PowerLink app. Fill up with either premium unleaded, E85, or any mix in between and enjoy maximum performance. You can monitor your ethanol content right on the app.
TRUELFEX REQUIREMENTS
Ethanol is a high-octane fuel that boosts power and knock resistance but requires increased fuel delivery due to its faster burn rate. The B9 2.0T’s high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) is laser-welded shut and non-upgradable. By swapping the stock HPFP with a VW MK7 2.0T vacuum pump housing and HPFP, you can upgrade to the iE HPFP MQB Internal Performance Kit, which ensures the necessary fuel delivery for ethanol power.
