Get all of the benefits of the legendary BMW M50 intake manifold on your E46 or other M52TU/M54 powered BMW, without the hassle. Retain the ability to revert to the M54 manifold if needed. Designed and manufactured in the USA, this kit spares no cost and uses only quality materials.
Replacing the M52TU/M54 intake manifold with the M50 intake has many benefits, including:
- Increase of about 20 horsepower depending on application
- More flow at high RPM for an extended powerband
- Better throttle response
- More room in engine bay
- Wider range of injector options
- Removes the DISA valve which often fail and only functions in slow city driving, not performance environments
The base kit includes a billet adapter plate, fuel rail adapters, ICV blocking plugs, and hardware. Our billet plate offers bolt pattern options for using the M52TU cable driven throttle body or the M54b25/M54b30 electronic throttle bodies on the M50 manifold. Included with all kits is hardware and inserts to plug the ICV ports in the head without any permanent damage, the need to remove the head, or use special tools. The included fuel rail adapter plates allow you to keep your original fuel rail.
