Description
The density of air varies with temperature and altitude, but because the ECU must know the precise amount of air entering the engine in order to deliver the correct amount of fuel, a mass airflow sensor must be used.
This mass airflow sensor is located in between the air filter housing and the air intake ducts and measure the density of the intake air in order for the ECU, along with signals from the oxygen sensors and manifold pressure sensors, to adjust the fuel mixture.
If your mass airflow sensor has failed, you may notice a lack of power, poor idle quality, poor fuel economy or a no start condition.
If it is time to replace your mass airflow sensor, look no further than Euromotiv. We have a full line of electrical an mechanical components for the engine in your Mercedes-Benz to help you keep it running for years to come.
