Description
The oxygen sensors on your Mercedes-Benz are used to reduce emissions by ensuring that the engine burns its fuel efficiently.
This is accomplished by measuring the amount of oxygen remaining in the exhaust gas after combustion and sending this data to the ECU. Using look-up tables to compare the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas to the volume of air entering the engine, the ECU can make changes to the amount of fuel that needs to be injected to maintain the stoichiometric ratio to ensure complete combustion.
If one of your oxygen sensors fails, you may notice symptoms such as poor fuel economy, rough idle, lack of power or an illuminated check engine light.
Fortunately, Euromotiv offers brand new oxygen sensors for your Mercedes-Benz from the worlds top manufacturers to help you keep your vehicle running as well as it did when it was new.
