Description
Piston rings are subject to wear as they move up and down the cylinder bore due to their own inherent load and due to the gas load acting on the ring. If your piston rings are damaged, you should notice black or blue smoke coming from your exhaust and poor oil consumption. These are commonly replaced during an engine rebuild.
