Power Steering Reservoir Cap

The power steering reservoir is located on the top of the power steering pump and is used to store power steering fluid, as well as being the fill point for the entire power steering system.

This reservoir keeps the power steering fluid protected from outside contaminants with a reservoir cap, which doubles as a dipstick for checking fluid levels inside the reservoir. There is a seal located inside the reservoir cap, which is made of rubber and will deteriorate over time and begin to leak.

If your power steering fluid cap is broken, missing or leaking, it should be replaced to keep your power steering system performing at its best.
