Description
The engine mount bracket bolts on the N51 and N52 BMW engine were intended to have a service life of 8 to 10 years, but we have found they are prone to failure within 50,000 miles. When engine mount bracket bolt failure occurs the bolt shears off and allows excessive movement of the engine. This movement can further damage the water pump or radiator hose depending on the side the failure occurred on.
