This is a replacement battery for the remote transmitter, or key fob, of your vehicle. If you have to stand closer than normal to unlock/lock the vehicle's doors with the transmitter or the it does not function at all, you may need a replacement battery. Leaving a dead battery in the transmitter for too long may cause it to corrode and damage the internal components of the key fob.

Some vehicles require two batteries per transmitter, so be sure to check yours before ordering to ensure you receive the correct amount.
