Rubber Gasket - Priced Each

This is the rubber gasket that is located behind the oil pressure test port on the timing cover of your Mercedes-Benz V6 or V8 engine. If you have a Mercedes-Benz with the M112 or M113 series V6 or V8 engines, you have no doubt heard that the timing case can start to leak oil near the oil filter housing.

This small rubber gasket is usually the culprit. This gasket sits behind the plate that is bolted to the timing case which is used as a location to install an oil pressure tester in the Mercedes-Benz workshop. Due to years of service and numerous heating and cooling cycles, this gasket becomes brittle and cracks, causing oil to leak all over the front of your engine.
