Secondary Air Pump

The secondary air injection pump injects fresh air into the exhaust stream to help burn off harmful pollutants in the catalytic converter. If the injection pump begins to fail, since it is a vital part of the emissions system, a fault code will be triggered. Sometimes, when pulling off the lower secondary air pipe, you may see water pour out. This is a sign that your pump is more than likely faulty. By simply replacing this pump, efficiency can be restored and there will be no worry about failing an emissions test. We would recommend also using new mounts since they tend to break easily during removal due to old age.

* This part is designed for the TSI engine only. This can easily be found on the engine cover of your 2.0T VW/Audi. It will clearly be stamped TSI or TFSI.
