Description
The Serpentine Belt is a belt used to drive multiple peripheral devices in your engine, such as the alternator, power steering pump, water pump, air conditioning compressor and the air pump. The drawback of this belt is that if the belt breaks, the vehicle loses all of its peripheral devices. That being said, you will likely notice before the belt actually breaks, such as groove shedding or squealing noises.
If your belt is getting worn, be sure to replace it as soon as possible to ensure that your vehicle continues to function perfectly.
