Not for models with Remote Trunk Locking (Code 881). Trunk lid lift supports are the gas springs that open and close the trunk to your car. They seem like an inconsequential component of your vehicle until they malfunction and your trunk is either sluggish and slow to open or closes much too quickly (hopefully not on your head).
