Timing Chain Tensioner

Keeping tension on your timing chain is imperative for keeping the camshafts turning properly. The chain runs against this tensioner and keeps the chains tight against the camshaft sprockets and crankshaft. If the chain develops poor tension, the proper timing set can skip a tooth.
