Brake pads wear down regularly and most automakers have equipped the car with wear sensors that act as a warning device, as they signal you with a dash light and high pitched noises when the pads are wearing down. If you do not have sensors, pulsations and grinding noises will be prevalent. To ensure that your car stops perfectly every time, replace those worn pads and be sure to inspect your rotors and calipers as well.
