Description
Recognizing the appeal of the compound turbo M57 powered E90 vehicles, Turner Motorsport developed in an intake to make you fall in love with your BMW again. The M57 engine never sounded this good. Turner's intake effectively eliminates restriction caused by the factory airbox, especially in the top end. This combined with increased air flow allows for gains of up to 20 wheel HP and 26 ft-lbs of torque at the wheel*.
*Test vehicle was equipped with a Burger JBD device and Malone Stage 1 Tune
Not only does the intake sound great and perform well, but it also looks amazing, Like any Turner Motorsport project, their M57 intake is CAD designed by an in-house team of engineers - and it shows. To make it even better, the Snorkel they've included is wrinkle black powder coated CNC aluminum which can be purchased separately (ES4141736). The heat shield, as well, is wrinkle black powder coated CNC aluminum - featuring an edge trim and a Turner brand plate. The heat shield is held to tight tolerances to keep hot engine bay air away from the intake, while retaining factory air inlet scoop compatibility to bring in cool, fresh air. Turner's intake also features the factory MAF housing. Lastly, the blue Turner filter is cleanable and reusable - featuring 8 ply oiled cotton gauze and a bell mouth inlet to maximize flow and filtration efficiency. Turn your daily driver into the perfect daily driver.
Installation is very simple, and Turner is thorough enough to put together install instructions for your enjoyment - see the documentation tab.
