These upper bearings sit on the crankshaft, between the caps, and have oil passages notched in to provide a path for lubrication. The crankshaft bearings allow oil to flow through these passages to keep the internal parts of your engine properly lubricated, stopping metal to metal wear. This is only the upper bearing with a yellow paint marking. Please check original part for correct paint marking.
