This is the trim strip that is located on the upper part of the windshield, between the windshield and the exterior roof, to keep water and debris from working its way into your car. If this strip is damaged or missing, water could penetrate through the windshield seal and lead to water damage to the interior and electronics. Don't allow rain to seep through and replace your damaged or missing water deflector.
