Cheek pads, over time, can wear out on any helmet. This wear affects the overall fit of your helmet, and can greatly impact the protection your helmet will provide in the unfortunate event of a crash. Your helmet should fit snugly, without any 'movement' or 'play' while on your head.

New Cheek Pads can also improve the overall 'feel' of your helmet with a new set of pads. In the instance where thicker pads feels 'too tight', but thinner pads feel 'too loose', it may be time to move up to a larger size helmet and buy thicker cheek pads to achieve the overall proper fit.
