This adapter includes a swing-up door to protect the 7-pin round connector when not in use. To install, simply remove the square plate (held on by 4 screws) to the left of your trailer hitch receiver, plug this adapter into the existing harness, and fix the adapter in place with the 4 screws. To plug in your trailer wiring harness, just lift the swing-up door, and plug it in!
