Volkswagen has re-designed the intake manifold for Gen 1 TSI's and now a third air supply line has been added to the manifold flap valve unit as seen in the photos of 06J133201BH. This requires a new "fresh air" line to be installed with your new manifold, and this air should be filtered to avoid damage from foreign particles. This hose connects to the top side of the valve and prevents dirt and debris from contaminating the valve. It bolts to the cylinder head between coils 2 and 3.
