A vehicle’s tail light is a light housing on the rear of the vehicle allowing other drivers and pedestrians to see the vehicle’s speed, size and direction and the driver’s intention regarding direction. The tail light houses 4 lights with their own specific purpose: braking, turning and reverse signals. The tail light assembly has a few basic components which can sometimes be replaced individually, but may only be available as a complete unit. These components are the light bulbs, the bulb circuit board, the housing, and the lens.
